Thanks for the comment Patti! I really appriciate it. I’ve been getting notes about where the previous comments went. Well, I won’t mention any names but, they were accidentally erased. I feel terrible about it. If you want to, you can write more and I will get them back up and hopefully the delete option will be avoided…
We’ve been very busy here. May is all booked up, no vacancies thru June first. If you are looking to book, we will take your name in case we have a cancellation. We have a couple of July 4th openings left as well as a few left for Thanksgiving.
We have been working on the new grooming area for Stacy. Looks good so far. She has been really busy herself, she’s here Saturday, Sunday and Monday, doing guests as well as taking other appointments. The feedback on her work has been awsome! She does amazing work. We’ll be getting some of her before and after pics on here soon.
Keep the e-mails coming and we’ll get them posted! Happy Spring!
Well, this has been a tough few weeks. We received a note and then a call about two of our guest’s passing. That is hard. Lily was a maltese/peek mix and Meggie a yellow lab. We pass our most heartfelt condolences to both families. They were great dogs. It’s always so hard to suffer a loss like that.
Then there was Mikey. He came to stay with his brothers while his family was away. Mikey wasn’t given long to live as he was a 12 year old Lhasa with some heavy duty age issues. His family knew that he wasn’t long for this world and didn’t want him to be alone during his final days. We agreed to “hospice” him. He got to be with his brothers, be outside and be loved in his final hours. He passed very peacefully here with us. We had contact with his vet and ours just in case he, or we, needed anything. As it was, he just went calmly to the big yard in the sky. Thanks to the help of Pet Haven Cemetery,we had him creamated and sent his cremains home with his family when they picked up his brothers. They all went home together. I am greatful for the expierence Mikey gave us and hope to offer that kind of peace again when it’s needed here at wags.
Thank you very much for looking after Dexter. We are so glad that we found Wags. We felt really happy leaving him in such a wonderful place with people who really care. We know he had a great time, was walked, played with, loved and given the same attention we normally give him at home. We have been recommending Wags to everyone.
Once again thank you to everyone at Wags. Dexters says…….Woof!
Stacey has been doing my Westie Allie for 2 years and then I couldnt find Stacey, I went to several other shops and they just couldnt get it right! And my Allie can be a little nipper when she wants to be, Stacey NEVER has any problems. I finally found her and I travel all the way from Cicero to Marcellus (even with the price of gas) every 8 weeks to have her groom my baby Allie. Stacey is gentle, has always been honest about how Allie acts, and never “pushes” products. And my Allie looks so beautiful when she gets done. My Allie actually enjoys going there, so obviously, there is no “problems” like you hear about from other salons. And OMG does my Allie smell good when she is done. Worth the drive, worth the cost (which is reasonable) and I also get to have liunch at the Sherwood Inn well I wait! Plus the best part, no caging, she starts your dog when you get there and calls you the second she is ready. She is great.
I would like to thank you so much for the excellent care you gave our dogs Daisy and Duke…both dogs were very happy when they got home, but the big change for them is that we see how puppy-like they act now…your attention and care was obvious..the next time we go on vacation,I will take them to be with you and your family…If you ever need a recommendation please feel free to ask …please tell Stacy that she did a wonderful job grooming them. You would not believe how many of our family and friends could believe they were the same dogs…we got alot of compliments…thanks again…

Thank you all so much for keeping our Newfoundlands Stella and Marley. They were soooooo happy at Wags and they looked gorgeous when we picked them up (thanks to Stacey) and they look forward to coming back again and again.
Anyone who loves dogs as much as I know you all do (and my husband and I) realize what a gift it is to have such a wonderful pet hotel close by that love our animals like we do when we have to be away.
Thank you again and see you all soon!
Well, it’s been a while since I’ve updated this blog so here we go… Stacy’s new salon is now open and she’s in and grooming away! Carm and CJ did a great job on it, it’s beautiful and Stacy has made it a very special place as well.
Feb. break was amazing. Crazy, amazing. I couldn’t have asked for a better group. Lots of play time in the snow and in the main room and very little sleep as all our guests kept us very busy. Thank you to all of our guests for being so good! April break is full, but we will keep a ‘will call’ list in case of cancellations. We will be making confirmation calls in the next few weeks so if you booked, expect a call for your confirmation number.
We are going to be working on the new rooms in the next couple of weeks along with cleaning, cleaning, cleaning. We are also making decisions as to what we will be doing with the rest of the building weather it be for rehab, more day care or whatever. Keep posted for more on that.
Finally, I cannot express enough my gratitude to all of our guests and their families. I never expected such an overwhelming response to our little motel. I knew there was a need in this area, but the client list just grows and grows. Thank you for the notes, cards and goodies, (Moll-E and D-Man! Yum!) You make my job a joy and I love you all! Thank you for your support and for trusting me with your “kids”. I look forward to seeing you all again soon! We will be getting new pics up soon so keep checkin us out!

Hi All! Just a note, we are FULL for Thanksgiving and do have a waiting list just in case we have any cancellations. Christmas week is almost full and Feb. break, 11-13, as well as April break,15-25 are filling up fast so if you need any of those dates you will want to book them soon. We talked about putting in more rooms but bigger is not necessarily better. We like being better!
We visited the Cayuga County SPCA yesterday and they have a lot of kitties looking for someone to love them. We also met Frank, a Boston Terrier who is just a sweetheart. If you have room in your home and your heart, please consider adopting a shelter kitty or dog. Also stop in at the SPCA and drop off your unwanted cans and bottles as they turn them in for cash. Every little bit helps. If you can’t make the drive there, you can drop them here and we’ll take them up for you! Thank you!
That was fast, Christmas break is now also full. Again, we will have a waiting list, just in case. I have been taking calls all week for Thanksgiving and I am so sorry I cannot take all of you! We’ll see about more rooms… Also, make your grooming appointments as soon as possible for your pet’s Holiday Do! Don’t be left with a stinky dog for the Holidays, call Wags Salon soon! Have a great weekend!

We are taking appointments so if your dog needs a bath, or nails done or a good grooming, give us a call at (315) 673-1033.

BOBBIJO
Wow, what a busy Monday that was! The phone has been ringing off the hook, which is a good thing. BobbiJo is grooming today, on her day off. She is doing a great job. The customers and dogs love her and have been very happy with her work. I don’t think she even took a break yesterday cause she was so busy.
Barbie, our ‘Wags Petisseri, featuring treats by Max’s Barkery’ baker has been busy baking treats. She is taking orders for Christmas trees and wreaths decorated with treats, toys and “stuff”. They are lovely. She is working on her Holiday cookies as well as filling orders for places like the Market Cafe at Fay Road (they have great sandwiches and coffee there). They are a big hit at the marketl
Kathy from our spa was here yesterday dropping off her Newfie Elliott to be groomed and to further discuss the pool plans. We will be starting construction on that soon.
From a little idea, we continue to grow. It is amazing. I also need to point out our new sign from “Signs of Paradise”. Ed did a great job, I just love it! Thanks Ed!
I would like to comment that our Daisy and Duke came today to get a shampoo and ears cleaned nails done….I just wanted to say what a great job done….Our dogs came back happy and feeling very good…you can just tell that they’re experience was a great one ….Thank You ! If you ever need a reference just let me know. I will give you an A+++++.

Just a shout out to our web master Rob from SpecialBob.com for all of his work on this site. He is a wonderful friend and is very patient with us and with all of our changes and updates relating to this site. Thank you so much Rob, we appriciate you so very much!
Happy New Year!
We’re off to a rousing start. The pool has been delivered and the construction crew gets here tomorrow to start putting it in. Yes, it’s an indoor, heated 8′x12′, four foot deep pool with spa jets. It’s good for sore muscles and joints and for dogs that just love to swim. Great for our Dock Dog friends to get some exercise in during the winter months. Kathy is all excited to get started and will be booking swim dates soon. She will be doing doggy daycare there as well as having a dog wash for those quick bath days.
Barb has a full case of all natural, homemade cookies ready to go, they are lovely and a big hit. Lots to choose from, she even made peanut butter cups! They look amazing. Stop in and get yours soon. Valentine cookies will be out soon too!
BobbieJo has been busy grooming our guests and owners are very pleased. She is very sweet and very funny and she is great with the dogs.
Plus, she is really good with the clippers!
When the pool is up and running, the daycare center and dog wash done we are going to try to fit in an open house so stay in touch an we’ll keep you posted! Enjoy the snow!!!!!
My daughter, husband and I stopped at your facility last Saturday because our Golden had just had a seizure of some type. You were wonderful and very caring.
Goldie Max has now been thru a series of tests where we were able to, at least, rule out brain tumor, thyroid imbalance, heart arrhythmias, and a host of other genetic issues common to Goldens. We are watching his cholesterol because his liver test was a little off, he is on a special vitamin to help correct that problem. Anyway he is back to being a normal 3 year old now and hopefully with a little extra care the seizures will be few and far between.
If we had had our wits about us, I would have enjoyed seeing your “Wags.” It sounds like the perfect vacation spot for certain family members! Perhaps on our next trip thru the area, we will stop again. Do we need an appointment?
Again, thank you so much for the ice, doggie treats and kindness - each had a very soothing affect on three adults and two large dogs!!!

Happy Spring!
We have added another groomer to our Salon. BobbieJo has been so busy here we thought we’d give her a hand and maybe a day off now and again. We’d like to welcome Erin to Wags Pet Salon! She’s been grooming for quite a few years all around the country as her husband is in the military. Erin will be here every Saturday and Sunday to fill your grooming needs. She is very kind and gentle with the dogs and does a great job on them. You can give BobbieJo a call to make and appointment with either her or Erin at 315-673-1033.

Thank you so much for taking such great care of my fur kid when I am away. I drive by Wags every day on my way to work and I see the dogs being walked at all hours. I know that when my dog is at Wags, she is getting the same love and attention that she does at home rather than sitting in a crate at a boarding facility.
